Ogallala, Ne - Pheasants Forever Inc is hosting a FREE longest rooster tail feather competition in Keith, Perkins, Deuel, Garden and Arthur counties through January 31^st. Eligible individuals take a picture of the public access Open Fields and Waters Access sign with the bird, and of the tail feather against the official yardstick, which is available for free at establishments in Ogallala. This is to showcase the new Pheasants Forever Inc – Nebraska Community Access Partnership (NCAP) which provides bonuses to stakeholders that enroll in 5-years of public access through the Nebraska Game and Parks Commissions – Open Fields and Waters program.
