Wellfleet, Ne - This Saturday, June 1st is the 10th Annual Junkin' In June in Wellfleet. According to Jody Lemmert the organizer, this will be another fun filled day of antiques, collectables, fun for kids and adults too during the event which runs from 10am-4pm in Wellfleet, just south of North Platte. News Director Canon Rath sat down with Lemmert from the Eagle Studios in Ogallala recently to talk about the event.

North Platte, Neb. - The Platte River Boots N' Music Festival at Pals kicks off Thursday, May 30th and runs until Saturday, June 1st. The three-day music festival will offer many artists, vendors and more. 12 bands will play over three days featuring local and out of state talent.

Post News Director Canon Rath had a chance to sit down with President & CEO N.P Area Chamber and Development Gary Person to chat about what's going on in North Platte. The duo takes a deep dive into last week's meeting featuring Governor Jim Pillen about the "6 Regions, One Nebraska" initiative that was held at Mid-Plains Community College that welcomed over 80 leaders to campus. Person explains more in-depth what the initiative is all about.
Another hot topic in North Platte was the United States Postal Service announcement to move North Platte Processing and Distribution Center to Denver and make North Platte a Local Processing Center. North Platte, Neb. - The Mid-Plains United Way was one of over 80 local non-profits to sign up for this year's North Platte Giving Day and received just under $2,000 in donations. For anyone who donated to the Mid-Plains United Way were entered for a chance to win VIP tickets to Parker McCollum and the winner is Austin Brunkhardt. The united way is still looking for teams to sign up for the human tractor pull that will be taking place June 18th.

North Platte, Neb. - The Prairie Arts Center debuted the Sculpture Walk Across Nebraska (SWAN) with 6 sculptures in downtown North Platte. These sculptures will stay for one year and a new set will rotate every year in May. It was a year in the making for the PAC to debut this new project. As summer approaches, classes are going to be offered. The PAC offers a whole variety of classes to take. Some classes are full.
