Post News Director Canon Rath chatted with Amy Parker from the D&N Event Center about a fundraiser event with Dunham sports that will be going on during district wrestling March 2nd at the D&N Event Center. An estimated over 1500 people will be attending wrestling which features wrestler's pre-k through 8th grade. North Platte, Ne - Imperial airbrush artist Armando Villarreal is sharing his art with Prairie Art Center in North Platte this month. Villarreal who has airbrushed hundreds of football helmets for Division 1 University's, painted portraits of famous Major League Baseball players, NBA players and a host of other sports projects is on display at the Prairie Arts Center in North Platte this month. On February 10 he'll be doing a live painting demo that you can see between 11am-4pm before an artist reception that evening from 4pm-5pm.

Post News Director Canon Rath chatted with Tara Krupicka about the Farm and Ranch Expo coming to the D&N Event Center this week.
NORTH PLATTE - The Farm and Ranch Expo is quickly approaching and will be the D&N Event Center this Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday event will take place from 9:00am - 6:00pm while Thursday event will be from 9:00am - 4:00pm. The event is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
This year, FFA students have a chance to participate in the FFA Passport. The FFA Passport has vendors who have signed up and students must visit the vendors and if they go to all the vendors, they can drop off their passport at the chamber table for a potential prize. Proceeds from this year's event will also help raise scholarships for local students who are interested in going into the Ag field.

Post News Director Canon Rath welcomed Mardel Manary and Elaine Pelster from the North Platte Opportunity Center for their monthly conversation but also to talk about the New Opportunity Thrift Store.
NORTH PLATTE - The New Opportunity Thrift Store (NOTS) is under new management and has been blooming under manager Elaine Pelster. The NOTS has plenty to offer in sales and specials. The NOTS helps individuals with disabilities to help them learn the basics of running a store like clean, sorted items, pricing are just a few skills they learn while working at the NOTS. Hours at the store are Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am - 3:00pm.

Ogallala - The Youth Inspired Philanthropy Project hosted by the Keith County Foundations Fund is excited to see growth in the project as they head into their 4th year. Applications are open and are due on February 20th (click here for the application). The showcase will take place February 22nd from 5:00pm MT - 6:30pm MT at the Kathleen Lute Public Library in Ogallala.
The showcase is open to area students from 3rd - 12th grade. Students can work alone, with friends, or work in groups, club or class. 10 winners can win up to $1,000 to complete a project. If you would like to visit last year's project, click here.
